Matt is passionate about finding the best solution for a client. A finance and lending specialist with over 20+ years’ experience, Matt has a strategic eye for understanding what clients need and securing outcomes which exceed expectations.
It was while studying at University in Bathurst where Matt fell in love with the Central West and knew at some point, he would return. Matt began his career in Sydney where he quickly rose through the ranks and consequentially started his own lending business in the heart of Sydney CBD.
During this period, Matt fine-tuned his methodology for helping people increase their wealth through property which ended up in him selling the business to a larger group looking to grow their business nationally.
With the sale of his business, Matt relocated to Melbourne where he continued to work as a broker as well as taking on the added responsibility of managing a team of brokers and support staff.
After a great 4 years of AFL and arguments about whether Sydney is better than Melbourne, Matt returned to the Central West in 2013 jointing pmwPartners to head up the newly founded Lending division of the business.
Having built the pmwPartners Lending department from scratch, one loan at a time and with twenty years of working in the lending industry under his belt, Matt knows how to provide the very best outcome for a client. “Our aim is to know a deal will be approved by the lender before we submit the loan to them. All the leg work is done early in the process with the related parties (the client, the lender, the agents and legal representatives), in order to have the deal processed and approved in the quickest time possible.”
Success in this industry, according to Matt, involves doing the basic things right. That is, understanding the client’s situation and goals, then matching this with the most appropriate lender.
At any stage of the process, ensuring all related parties are kept up to date on the loans progress right up until settlement. After settlement, it’s a matter of ensuring on an ongoing basis the lender selected continues to be the right lender for the client. This is done via a structured contact and review program.
Matt believes in “service beyond the sale,” and works in conjunction with solicitors, advisors and all lenders to ensure a smooth, hassle free experience for all. This framework has resulted in over a thousand satisfied clients.
Out of the office, Matt enjoys bike riding, catching up with friends and spending time with his young family.
